Plean Precast recently completed a Hard Landscaping project at Bowling Bridge Viaduct, part of the jewel in the crown of a £10m regeneration programme at Bowling Harbour in West Dumbartonshire and Scotland’s answer to the New York Highline, The Bowline.
The project, which was winner of the Community Award at the CECA Scotland Civil Engineering Awards 2021, was designed by RankinFraser landscape architecture llp and delivered by Mackenzie Construction Limited and involved the transformation of a disused railway viaduct into a state-of-the-art linear park and walking, wheeling and cycling route at the western gateway to the Lowland canals.
Plean Precast Limited supplied 1352 Precast elements for the project consisting of bridge planks, steps, stepping stones and engraved signage, all manufactured in a high quality acid etched finish.
