Plean Precast were involved in the supply of bespoke architectural hard landscaping elements to the New Milltimber Primary School in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen City Council’s brief to architects Scott Brownrigg was for a new state-of-the-art school, a two-stream facility providing a modern, congenial, healthy, learning and working environment for the primary and pre-school community.
The key requirement for the new school was to provide enhanced outdoor play spaces and PE facilities to promote health, fitness and wellbeing, as well as better opportunities for outdoor curricular learning and social interaction, leading to improved mental health.
Plean Precast supplied 261 precast units with a total weight in excess of 315T to the project. This consisted of seating , stairs and steps as well as bespoke retaining walls and planters for the playing fields to the rear of the school.
